Do you believe in Santa Claus and New Year miracles? Neither did Shurik, seller at a supermarket, but only till that 31st of December. It all started when Shurik came to work a bit earlier when the store was still closed. He did not even attach significance to a conversation with Santa Clause, taking him for just another actor, earning additionally during New Year holidays. But right after that meeting Shurik unexplainably appears at the closed supermarket. Naturally, all his attempts to tell this strange story to colleagues aroused just derision.

Neither believed two robbers, while developing a plan of robbing a supermarket. At the beginning they wanted to melt into the crowd and hide, knowing that at New Year night there will be maximum one security guard. Yet, ironically, the robbers become millionth visitors of the store, what obviously makes a spectacle of them.

All this time Shurik has been working hard at his department, though the day turned out to be not quite lucky: one visitor asked Shurik his personal mobile phone and had a long (very expensive) conversation with United States. After that “tourist” could not surmount obstacle in a form of escalator, where a bunch of comic situations happened to him. Even a conversation with Olya failed, due to her constantly being in a company of odious security guard!

Meanwhile robbers in masks rushed into a supermarket! Making use of security guards and sellers’ fright they reach Director’s office…Later on, however, it turned out that they were solicitors and masks were the prizes which customers were to receive after purchasing scotch. Naturally, Shurik did not know about that and hurried to save his Director…

At the end of working day Director announced a meeting but not to discuss Shurik’s inappropriate behavior. It turned out that he decided to present the staff with New Year meeting at elite tourist center. Shurik was one the happiest about it. Sure! His rival-security guard obviously was to stay at the store and he would have an excellent chance to stay with Olya. But if the day started badly – it was as good as lost. According to Director’s decision it was Shurik who would stay on duty at the supermarket at New Year night due to many solid argumentations: he was single but still very responsible..

Staying alone at the supermarket Shurik entertained himself performing comic sketches at the storefront. Alongside, his friend came in a costume of Snow man together with a Snow woman. It did not occur to him that robbers were looking after it, developing another cunning plan. Under the cover of Snow men’s costumes robbers got into the supermarket and put into operation all improvised means including radio-controlled toys against new-made security guard. Nevertheless they were on the losing side… Not giving up winning Olya’s affection Shurik stayed in a company of two mannequins. Under the influence of alcohol he imagined that a female one was Olya and a male one was that odious security guard. In unequal battle he won over the mannequin-security guard.

In the morning to remove the consequences of wild adventures he entered the storefront. Staff started coming to work and there was the Director who approached to him threateningly. It seems like an affair is coming to a head. Suddenly the Director hugs and kisses Shurik! At the same moment a famous show host appeared next to them with a microphone… It turned out that everything that had happened to Shurik at New Year night was live broadcasted as a reality-show which broke all the ratings last night. Shurik was to receive a huge money compensation from the Director, because the supermarket became famous nationwide.

But Shurik did not think about material benefits at that moment. He noticed Santa Claus in the crowd.
