Veronica is pretty - that’s why she is a model. She is smart, but a little naive due to her lack of experience – that’s why she is still a model dreaming of making it big in the city. She is trustful and this is the only explanation of her questionable relationship with an influential photographer, who exploits her beauty and youth.

One fine day Veronica meets Zhenya in car dealership. He is handsome and promising city clerk from wealthy family. He has his “own story”. His stepfather, Semen, who is much older than his wife, is suffering from serious disease and became a bed patient. Zhenya’s mother, still an attractive woman, is struck by such twist of fate.

The sparkle between Veronica and Zhenya has a second chance when they run into each other on the street after Veronica’s yet another conflict with photographer. The couple is caught off guard by the rain and after they get soaked to the skin, young people find shelter at Zhenya’s apartment where Veronica gets a chance to meets his parents.

Being alone in the city after decision to leave the photographer the girl has no place to go. Zhenya’s family needs a nurse for Semen. The verdict is simple and unanimous: Zhenya offers Veronica, who is a certified nurse, a job to look after his stepfather. The new treatment brings positive results at once: Semen definitely feels better, back on his feet, smiles and believes in life again The apartments is clean as never before and Zhenya is running home daily as soon as he can.

The only one who is not welcoming the wind of change in the family is Zhenya’s mother, Anastasia Andreevna, who has an affair with her husband’s doctor and not ready to open the blood lines to the small-town-prodigy. The troubles are approaching also from the side of Veronica’s ex-lover, who wants to tame the free spirit, as well as from rich and spoilt Zhenya’s admirers, who don’t take “no” for an answer from men.
