Max Pavlov is the noble, self-made brave man. He is one of those men who don’t accept routine life style and calm job. Hi is an alpinist. They are also known as extreme sportsmen. He conquers famous “wall of death”, peaks of the Pamir and the Himalayas. Max is successful in business and love, he is true to his girlfriend Marina. He has the best friend and partner Alexei. But one day in the city he lives in happens an accident, which becomes his personal disaster.

One night the cable bridge above the river that crosses the city is about to collapse: the old cable fasteners are about to break above the supports. Transport companies are suffering huge losses since the main auto and river trade routes are blocked. The ministry of extreme situations cannot find any solution. There is only one way out: to send there an industrial alpinist to repair the damaged parts. But no one is accepting this dangerous job, no one except Max Pavlov. Additionally, transport companies are ready to pay a large amount of money for this repair. Marina is against his decision but Max is not used to listen to anybody in his life. He leaves his girlfriend at home and in an hour he repairs the bridge..

Everything seemed to be in order, but in the last moment Max is let down by safety equipment. In front of crowd he falls from the top of the bridge and hits hard against the water surface. Immediately he is transported to the hospital: the diagnosis is spine fracture and partial paralysis of the spine. The transport companies pay the huge fee and insurance, but money can’t help him and Marina. The life without mountains is nothing to Max and he decides to disappear.

The alpinist leaves the city and heads to his coach Palych. Max cuts the ties with his past – rejects the best friend Alexei and parts with Marina. Palych creates special physical exercises for Max and his rehabilitation and makes him believe in himself. Step by step Max rises.

And again that same bridge, which almost killed Max, appears in his life. But this time Alexei has to climb it. He falls down, but Max saves him last minute. Max remains eternally grateful to Palych, rediscovers friendship with Alexei and love with Marina.
